Random Musings: Trying Something New

Hello everyone! We’ve been blogging for about 4 months now, I think we’re doing pretty well. I will admit though, I am impatient and wish it would move along a little faster. Overall, we are all enjoying it. I think in the long run, the slower the growth, the more quality and longevity we will have. That’s what I hope any way.

I know most blog help articles tell you to “find a niche” and stick to it. As usual, I’m going to slip outside the box and add something new to our blog. I’m also being selfish. This section is really for me. Just a place to share my thoughts with our fans and other bloggers. If you’re interested, please stay and chat awhile. If not, you can skip right over the Random Musings with no hard feelings whatsoever.

We're trying something new at adventuredawgs.com: Random Musings. Journal entries on random subjects like travel, blogging, adventures, family, budget, parenting, and life in general.

My thought process for Random Musings is twofold. Some, if not most of these posts, will be shorter. This will allow me to blog more. I’m hoping that the more I write, the better I will become. I also hope to maybe get some engagement from these posts. The hope is that through them, I can learn and share info on a variety of topics. It will also be therapeutic since it is basically a journal, one that I share with all my fellow besties in blogland!

At any given time, possibly daily, you will find thoughts and information here on whatever happens to be on my mind at the time. Some possible topics are, of course travel, family, parenting, food, budget, blogging, health and fitness, cooking

Now it’s time for the engagement part. What do you think of my new idea? For both the bloggers and readers out there, do you think you have to pigeon hole yourself into a niche to be a successful blogger? What do you think is the best number of weekly posts? We are currently at 2 longer posts per week. Would you prefer to see more or less? Or maybe shorter posts? What do you personally prefer to read?

Thank you all for taking the time to visit us and for indulging me in my newest aspect of our ever growing blog. Please leave your answers in the comments. We love to reciprocate. If you have any questions for us, just let us know!

Live Your Adventure,

Cheryl
